Ben & Lauren's wedding can only be described as a blast. Their ceremony took place at Tanner Springs Park in the pearl. They said their vows with their families close on either side, while their guests watched their union from the park steps. Park guests were polite and watched from afar, but everyone couldn't help but look stunned and giggle silently to themselves when a homeless man decided to walk right through their ceremony! Afterwards I got to steal away the bride and groom for some lovely couples portraits (my favorite part of any wedding day!) before we headed to their reception at the Ecotrust Building a few blocks away. The sun was on the verge of setting and the top floor terrace couldn't have looked more beautiful as Ben and Lauren shared their first dance to "In Spite of Ourselves" by John Prine and Iris Demint -- a song I had never heard before and likely won't soon forget! Ben and Lauren laughed and swayed on the dance floor and before we knew it, the music was getting everyone on their feet and the dance floor was the most exciting place on the block! Everyone was laughing and smiling and dancing to the rhythm of the music as the sun set behind them and string lights glowed above them. In all honesty...it was so much fun I was a bit sad to leave when the night came to an end. Ben and Lauren definitely know how to throw a fun party!
Congratulations Ben & Lauren! I am so happy I was able to meet you this year and share such beautiful memories with you. Your wedding was truly so much fun to attend and photograph. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
